  Has anyone out there used one of the LANs (Tecmar Elan, Orchid PC-net,
  3-Com etc.) with one of the *NIX UNIX lookalikes (QNX, Xenix, Coherent,
  uNETix etc.)?  If so, could you describe your experiences with the system?
  I am most interested in how large the network is,  what kind of server is
  being used (XT, 68000, VAX),  what kind of hard disk capacity you have,
  how well the file-locking mechanisms work and how pleased you are with
  the response time with lots of I/O.
