San Diego, Computer Center Lines: 20 According to articles in the Los Angeles Times and information presented on the Larry King Show, the cabbage patch doll is created with a computer which generates random features on the doll. The doll can be either male or female, negro or caucasian, and has unique facial features and fingerprints. A child buying the doll has the impression that the doll is her very own because of this uniqueness. Accompanying the doll are a set of adoption papers which reinforce this impression. In addition Coleco mails a birthday card to the owner one year after the purchase. This doll which originally listed for $20 has been sold for over $100 at stores in New York and one person flew to England because he heard a rumor that the dolls were available in London. This coming Friday the Larry King show will auction on radio one doll for charity provided they can find a doll to auction. David Whiteman sdcsvax!sdccs6!whiteman
