"A Christmas Story" is a funny movie; it's done well and the acting
is good to excellent.  However, it's not the kind of humor that
everyone will like.

This is the kind of movie I might expect if the National Lampoon
writers teamed up with John Irving.  The characters and situations
parody the 'typical family' (something like "Vacation"), but the
humor reminded me of "The World According to Garp".
