And Luke originally had his father's lightsaber, who had learned to make his original lightsaber while the student of Obe Wan Knobe (sp). Could the color choice simply be a matter of choice of the maker? Could it be an indication of allegiance (Dark Side, old Jedi, reborn Jedi (sic))? Another question is of the powersource for a lightsaber.
