You see, "Spiel ohne Grenzen" (the literal translation), was one of the most popular game shows on German television. Teams of several nationalities, segregated by nation, would compete against each other at various more or less athletic tasks (maneuvering large mock-up ingredients for a soup across a swimming pool by stepping on floating "croutons", and other difficult tasks of farcical aspect).
