Subject: Attention Dregs fans For those Dregs fans who participated in the Dregs discussions awhile back I thought I'd provide an update: I talked to T Lavitz last night. Steve Morse and Rod Morgenstein are forming a band, and called T Lavitz in to do keyboards for a demo they're making. They have not specifically invited T to join. I think it's because they don't know if what they really want to do is a "Dregs II" band. T currently has all kinds of other things going including a possible tour with Peter Frampton who is attempting a comeback. I asked him if he would join Steve & Rod if asked, and he said that Morse is his favorite musician and that while he's got other interesting possibilities, it would be a difficult decision to decline. Andy West has moved to LA and formed his own band out there. He seems out of the picture. There seemed to be personality problems involved with Mark O'Connor and I didn't ask what Allen Sloan was doing. Guitar Player magazine published a blurb saying that Morse was forming a band and that a tour with Allan Holdsworth was being worked out. A re-formed Dregs on a double bill with Holdsworth should provide us progressive fans with something to really look forward to.
