To refresh your memories, I asked for people to send me a note when they received my article. I got 147 responses. 63% of the network gets the news within 24 hrs. 81% within 48. And 100% of those responding got the article in 10 days. The 147 responses represent 93 sites (slightly under 2 replies per site on avg. I got 7 from one site, only 1 from lots of others.) Since everyone always claims that there are 100's (1000's?) of sites, I can only assume that this is circumstantial evidence that there are leaks in the network. Big ones??? I suggest someone from another site try the same trick and see how many responses they get. P.S. I made it to ukc in only 2 days, but some European sites didn't get it for another week+. California in general doesn't respond. Come-on guys, surely you can stop gagging each other with spoons long enough to say hello? :-) (Gawd, this was tiring.) -- Stephen Perelgut Computer Systems Research Group University of Toronto Usenet: {linus, ihnp4, allegra, decvax, floyd}!utcsrgv!perelgut
