Bill Sebok wrote an article requesting that net.adm.site be reinstated.
That got me off looking for whatever it was he was talking about. After
reading the document on it, and seeing that the shell scripts are posted
in $LIBDIR, it seems that someone wanted to get it going. It sounds like
a good way to get decent paths worked out for the net. What happened to it?
The document is dated March 2, 1982, so I presume something was done long
before our site got on the net.

I would also like to know where mkpath resides. Is it a net.sources freebe?
If so, I don't have it and would appreciate a copy from someone, if it can
be arranged.
