The creationist debate is still blazing along in net.physics.
It should probably be moved to another newsgroup, but there
seems to be widespread opposition to the creation of
net.origins, because it would somehow legitimize creationism
as being a valid science.  Well, since the creationists are
arguing that evolution is really a pseudoscience, and vice
versa, why not create a newsgroup
	net.skeptics
	(net.pseudoscience? net.phil-sci?)
Which could be used to discuss pseudoscience, the philosophy
of science, the creation vs evolution debate, its sociological
and political implications, and so forth.  Once the
creationism/evolution debate dies down, other equally
controversial topics will undoubtedly spring up (Jack
Sarfatti's theory of supra-luminal communication, psychic
phenomena, UFO's, etc, etc).

PS: to forestall flames, I am *not* implying that either
creationism or evolution are pseudosciences.  I'm only
attempting to establish a forum for discussing such claims.
