If you do get any Nikon camera, don't use a local repair facility when it's time for your yearly/two yearly clean/lube/adjust. I've had much better luck with Professional Camera Repair Service 37 w. 47th Street New york, N.Y. They will do the work and mail you back the equipment even before they send you the bill. And the work is always done right. I used to live in NY, and I used to go there in person. More Nikons laying about for service than the inventory of most big NY camera stores.
