I've seen a lot of el-cheapo lenses lately, tho not tried them.
One that I can recommend to Pentax users is the Cosmicar brand,
which allegedly IS made by Asahi Optical (makers of Pentax).
Their *fully automatic* (for Super Program) 70-200 f/4.0 is only
$105 in Wheaton Photo, and seems nice (tell you more when the pictures
get developed).  Guess this is Asahi's answer to Nikon E-series?  mike k
