Vail: parts of the back bowls opened up already. Excellent conditions elsewhere Steamboat Springs: Have been getting a ft of snow a day for the last three days - 42 in base at mid mountain. Loveland: Just opened up the black runs. All open except the runs over the tunnel. Breckenridge: excellent conditions and no crowds. Copper: B lift already open, with minimal rock bashing. All reports based on interviews with returning skiiers. It appears that mid-winter conditions exist at most areas. If it only lasts! Paul "Still Haven't Been" Beiser
