She was working for DECUS on a VMS VAX and I was, and am, working at HP on this system, among others. I used cu to call her machine and read messages that she left for me and leave messages for her. We got the advantages of letters, with the turn-around of telephoning. This lasted for 3 months, until she got an offer from INTEL here, and they shipped her out here. We were both a little frightened when she got off the aircraft, but we moved into a new house together immediately, and have been very happy ever since. She now works here, in the same group. The only disadvantage?? is that we have all our messages to each other on tape, and can drag them out, and look for specific promises. I did not BELIEVE how cold her feet are, and I'm committed to keeping them warm.
