Purdue is really scum. Any football team that has to pay off the refs for 3, count'em, THREE years (1979-1981, I believe) to beat a team that eventually lost more than 30 in a row, is really, really SCUM. You check those three years; I may be off by one, but it was a three year string of questionable calls in the NU-Purdue games that got Purdue (or Bird-Dew for short; they sound alike and are alike) off the hook. Anyways, the big game that I'm aware of in the Big Ten (besides Mich-OSU) is (I'm including games that have only one pBig Ten participating) Iowa vs. Iowa State (otherwise known as the Kelloggs, aka the Corn Bowl). In the year that Iowa lost the Rose Bowl to Washington, one of the Hawkeyes said that after beating Iowa State, the Hawkeyes reached their peak and the Rose Bowl was secondary. Spoken like a true, stupid Iowan! This statement may be true for wrestling, but never, never for football. Beating Iowa State is more important than beating Nebraska or winning the Big Ten and being in the Rose Bowl? Hah! Scott Pector Go Northwestern Wildcats!
