It seems that the U. of Michigan crowds got such a kick out of the Slippery Rock scores that the AD at U. of Michigan (Don Canham) invited these two schools to play their game at Ann Arbor (seating capacity over 100,000 people) on a weekend when the U. of Michigan team was playing an away game. The two schools were guaranteed a certain amount and any other proceeds would go to the U. of Michigan Marching Band to cover its expenses. Well, on the BIG weekend, I believe there were over 60,000 people at the game. Everybody won. Scott Pector
