Devon McFadden was in love with Dan Kennicutt who was in turn
in love with Brooke.  Devon tried to get even with Dan (since
he did not return her love) and went to bed with Wally.  After
finding out she was pregnant, Devon tried to commit suicide and
failed.  (I don't remember how.)
She and Wally finally got married.
