First of all, Jeff lives in San Francisco.  After his wife Mary
died, he did not go to a mental hospital.  He went to Wisconsin,
where he practiced in the country. Then he returned to Pine
Valley where he got involved with Dr. Chris Thornton, who was
played by the same woman who plays Dorian on One Life to Live.
She was a pediatrician.  They got married and she got a good job
offer in San Fransisco, and so they decided to move.

Even before Jeff married Mary Kennicott, he was married to Erica
Kane.  But, they broke up, because of Erica's general
unpleasantness and her wish to put her modeling career before
marriage and children. Jeff is Tara's brother.

Now I have a question:  What ever happend to Tara, Phillip, and
little Phillip?  They were written off the show while I wasn't
able to watch it.
