Message-ID: <334@sytek.UUCP> Date: Thu, 1-Dec-83 19:21:01 EST Article-I.D.: sytek.334 Posted: Thu Dec 1 19:21:01 1983 Date-Received: Wed, 7-Dec-83 00:39:28 EST Lines: 13 Frequently when I have given a vi global command who's output turns out to be far too lengthy to live with, and I hit , vi hangs and no amount of additional s or s (or anything else I could think of) would return my session to me. The only thing I can do when that occurs is to kill the process from another session. Naturally, I can (and do) try to avoid hitting during global commands, but I would be interested to know if anyone out there knows why this occurs (I'm sure someone does...) and what the fix is. I am using version 3.6. Thanks!!! Barry Holroyd decvax!sytek!barry (213) 417-8859
