People who are outraged at the outcome of this sorry incident should
consider the following:

What would you think of a country where the two men would be convicted of rape
after the sole witness refused to testify against them?

I hope that the rape crisis center that reported the alleged victim was
intimidated by callers who "hung up as soon as the phone was answered" did
all they could to encourage her to testify anyway. Otherwise, they were
simply encouraging more "business".
