To get this advantage, however, they've had to sacrifice the most negative twos complement number. So what have you gained? You've just made it impossible to *produce* the error by reducing the range. By using the same logic we could cure all those people on net.* who like to drive fast. We simply make it a non-problem by removing their ability to drive.
