Co., Everett, Wash Lines: 24 RE: speaker enclosure design (Peter S. Shenkin @ columbia univ) I've been hacking on a Thiele/Small enclosure design program originally written by Don Keele at JBL. It's written in Microsoft BASIC. My changes are to improve the user interface and to allow a datafile to store the various driver parameters. I'm currently working on a change to allow the datafile to be created by dbase II (which is much better at that sort of thing than MBASIC is). This version is a ways off (I've got the file read down, but haven't had time to integrate it into the program). I used an earlier version (written for HP41C) to design the LF enclosures for my stereo. Measured results compared very favorably to the calculated results. As I recall, I ended up with the calculated lengths of the vent tubes. If there is enough demand, I will post it to this newsgroup. Rick Chinn fluke!rzdz 206 356 5232
