I'm shopping around for a reasonably good stereo for my living room (not very large) and would like it to cost under $1000 (including cassette deck). Consumer Reports has these recommendations for a $1000 stereo. Can anyone comment on their choices? Are they good, bad? Are there better buys in this price range? Did they choose the right component price ranges for a $1000 system?
