However, some things have been happening lately which may change that. It seems as though my Walkman II likes to eat tapes. Being a true audiophile(I think), I clean and demagnetize the tape deck on a regular basis(at least every 15 hours or when things start to distort). But the little bugger can crumple up a tape(i.e. fold it in half) before I know it. Opening the lid 'a crack' helps sometimes, but more often than not, it doesn't. It does not know the difference between new and old tapes, so the possibility of a poor tape is almost overruled. This posting serves as a forewarning of what may happen, but also is a request for some helpful hints. What could I do to possibly cure this problem? Max Hartwig ..!ihnp4!ihuxs!hartwig
