Several months ago I received a recall notice from VW concerning the
possibility of the brake cables corroding under the rug on the
passenger side due to water being able to somehow leak in.  Well my
'78 VW's floor recently started to get soaked when it rains.  The
middle of the floor in front of the passenger seat gets wet.
Has anyone had a problem like this?  Has anyone taken their car
in for repairs?  Is the source of the leak fixed or only the cables 
if they're damaged?
