I would like to add my voice to those flaming the new SECRET WARS from MARVEL. I had heard that such a mini-series was coming for quite a while and that events in the war would effect those "soldiers" in many ways. After seeing everyone disappear into the strange alien building ("transporter") for three weeks I thought I was primed and ready for a great battle of the good guys verses the bad. I was also glad that Jim Shooter was scripting because I thought here was someone who really knew the Marvel Universe. All my hopes crashed, burned, and left a three mile crater at the end of the first issue. The characterization of my favorite heores was like something out of the Saturday Morning Cartoons. When they weren't fighting, they were ready to beat up the bad guys even when they want to talk. Like OZ, I feel that I have to buy all the issues even though I don't look forward to any of them. Perhaps we should start a list of all inconsistancies and mail them to Shooter when done. Naw, at this rate we'll all run out of disk space by the time he reaches issue 8.
