Lines: 30 From: Mike Ciaraldi Severa; people mentioned that they thought the "Who is Donna Troy ?" issue of NTT was one of the best srories of the year. I liked it too, but what bothered me is that it didn't really tell us who she is. If I remember right, they track down her ADOPTIVE parents, who are still alive, which is all well and good. But all they can find of her natural parents are their graves, or something like that. If you ask "who is somebody", it can mean many things-- what their personality, profession, or beliefs are, what their ethnic background, religion, or nationality is, etc. From the point of view of someone getting married and planning to have children, it may be very important to know their parents' medical histories, e.g. is there history of labor complications, and blood types so you know whether to anticipate immunization-system problems, and so on. Considering that Donna "lost" her parents at such an early age (I mean the people who raised her), it seems to me the "Who Is" question should really have been in terms of her natural parents, and that is not answered at all. Still a good story, though...... Mike Ciaraldi ciaraldi@rochester
