I use it once in the spring to get started and then go into the "some of this, and it needs a little more of that" mode. Obviously, it has everything that a modern nutritionist says you shouldn't do--but... Recipe: 4 slices of bacon 1/4 cup vinegar (I use cider v., white is ok) 1 tsp sugar 1/2 tsp salt pepper Fry bacon until crisp, remove from pan. Dump vinegar and dry ingredients into drippings and heat to boiling. Dump over leaf lettuce and onion salad, garnish with the crumbled bacon. I sometimes toss in some scallion tops when the bacon is almost crisp. This ought to work also for spinach. Pat Carstensen
