However, I've seen several people suggest that you "tap on your brake pedal" and hit the gas at the same time. Sounds terribly complicated, and tends to promote the amateurish two-foot driving habit. A better solution during day-time hours is simply to turn on your headlights when a person hugs your tail. Virtually nobody can distinguish tail-lights from brake-lights.
