One night, an intrepid soul decided he'd had enough (he fell into this trap once before) and when the cop got real close to his hind end, he slammed on his brakes. The policecar of course smashed into him, and the cop jumped out with fire in his eyes and demanded to know why the kid stopped. "I saw something run across the road and didn't want to run it over. Why were you following so close behind me, anyway?" the Intrepid Soul answered. The Soul's car sustained only a damaged trunk, the police car was barely able to drive away, and the cop never pulled that trick again. There is some justice. ---jayembee (Jerry Boyajian @ DEC Maynard) (decvax!decwrl!rhea!akov68!boyajian)
