The last time I travelled by bus - from NYC to Binghamton, NY, by Greyhound, the day after New Year's - I spent four hours struggling to keep my elbows out of my neighbour's ribs. During the first half-hour my legs gradually went numb from lack of circulation (squirming notwithstanding), so they didn't bother me the rest of the trip (getting off the bus was a lot of fun, too - but that's another story!). Of course, it's a seller's market, so it's unlikely there'll be any substantial improvements in bus seating in the foreseeable future. -- Saumya Debray Dept. of Computer Science SUNY at Stony Brook {floyd, bunker, cbosgd, mcvax, cmcl2}!philabs! \ Usenet: sbcs!debray / {allegra, teklabs, hp-pcd, metheus}!ogcvax!
