I must say that I agree with you on the comfort of bus rides.  I recently
rode a bus for 14 hours to ski in Colorado.  I think that the main reason
that nothing gets done is that when you get to the ski area, you have so
much fun that you forget about the bus ride, and on the way back you are so
tired you could sleep ANYWHERE (even a bus, hard to believe I know).
