The huge deficit, causing high interest rates, causing a dollar which is quite valuable on international markets are nailing our export industry and causing a lovely balance of trade deficit. This will be enough to keep our economy in the relative stagnation it's been in for the past decade or so. Even stagnations have their ups and downs; Reagan just got lucky in having the up-swing of the business cycle coincide with election year. Jeff Myers@wisc-rsch
