Our company (hp) has recently amended its Personnel Policies to allow smoking
to be banned in any area of a company building.  The Corvallis site has banned
smoking in all rest rooms and one of the labs on this site has banned smoking
entirely within the lab after discovering that there were no objections there.
Each individual may designate his/her area as a no smoking zone and enforce the
restriction in that area.  You might want to talk to your personnel manager
about having some of these steps taken in your building.

For readers in other companies, you might want to suggest a similar policy to
your management.
