Well, T.C. Wheeler you're right and you're wrong ! Tailgating is wrong.
I don't think anyone is arguing with that. (So far you're right!)
As far as "Ninety-nine percent of the tailgaters are travelling too
fast anyhow." is concerned, this is only in *YOUR* opinion. (Now you're
wrong.) I would also propose that in the opinion of the tailgaters,
ninety-nine percent of tailgatees [?] are travelling too slow. It's
all relative you see!! 

Tailgating *IS* stupid, illogical and dumb but people do stupid,
illogical and dumb things when they are angry ( it's an emotion isn't
it? ) DUMB NERDS POOPING ALONG IN THE FAST LANE MAKE PEOPLE WHO CAN'T
GET PAST VERY ANGRY !!

The conclusion to all this, I would say, is that both tailgater and 
tailgatee are in the wrong. The tailgater - for tailgating, and the 
tailgatee for "pooping along" in the wrong lane at the wrong speed
"asking" to be tailgated.
