No, I didn't get the team wrong. Everyone knew the Raiders would win, some people just did not want to admit it. I blew it because I didn't want to admit it would be a massacre. I am going to be first, however, to predict a victory in the presidential election - before we even know who Ronnie is going to beat. Better yet, I predict that the opponent will be Wally Mondale and that it will be another lopsided score in favor of the team from California. But that's not what I wanted to talk about. Why don't we have a popular election? You know, the kind where the one with the most votes wins. Not only would that make more sense, it would prevent ABC news from pre- dicting a winner hours before the last U.S. polls close. How, you say? California has many more votes than the total number of votes that usually separate the winner and runner-up. Simple, isn't it.
