The current state of the economy is "just a typical buisness cycle adjustment to re-stock depleted inventories..." and the "economy is relatively stagnant"............... Well Mr. Jeff, please remember that one of the reasons the economy was in such poor shape during the Carter years was that inventories were NOT MOVING!!!! Companies were OVERSTOCKED!!!!!! Thus, Mr. Reagan's policies of 1) Increasing productivity 2) Reducing Taxes 3) Liberalizing Corporate tax laws Have all helped to reduce inventories and stimulate production, thus increasing employment, thus generating revenue. A typical buisness cycle would not have fugures such as a CPE of 3.8% for the fiscal year of 83. A stagnant economy???? Hardly----Back to the econ books Jeff. Lets talk facts Kip Quackenbush Pacific Bell proper!kip
