Vegemite is *very* popular in Australia.  I spent two years there
and my wife is an Aussie.  They go wild over over Vegemite.  It's
placed on the tables just like we leave salt or ketchup on ours.
Always ready in case you need it.  I've never tried the stuff since
the smell is enough to send me screaming away (at *over* 55).  You
just have to be brought up on it.

I have one of those beastly little jars in front of me right now.
Here's the straight poop (no pun intended):

	       VEGEMITE - Concentrated Yeast Extract

			    235g NET
	    5g of this food contains: Vitamin B1 0.55mg,
	      Riboflavin 0.88 mg, Niacin 5.50mg, which
	       are half the average daily allowances.

			PRODUCT OF AUSTRALIA

(That's what's on the front.  Now the back.)

	        VEGEMITE - Concentrated Yeast Extract

	    Spread hot buttered toast with VEGEMITE Yeast
	   Extract and top with a KRAFT Processed Cheddar
	      Cheese Slice; grill under a medium heat
	  until cheese is golden brown; serve immediately.

	      INGREDIENTS: Yeast Extract, salt, flavour
			Kraft Foods Limited
		Salmon St., Port Melbourne, Vic., Aust.

Yes, they spell it "flavour" over there.  On the top it says:

	"A nourishing spread for your breakfast toast."

Well, maybe that's why I don't eat breakfast any more.  I think
they put it in a glass jar so the smell can't get out.
