A letter to the editor of U.S. News & World Report a while back said something to the effect of "I do not wish to have an explosive cartridge aimed at my face"--referring to airbags. I entirely agree. 2. Who needs airbags anyway? Don't you trust your seatbelts? I do! I fell asleep driving down the highway several years ago; I woke up in an inverted car, still traveling down the highway, scattering beautiful orange sparks from its roof. I walked away from the accident with only a few bruises. I was wearing seat belt and shoulder strap. Belts are enough! We don't need airbags.
