Alright, as long as we're on interesting magic items...

The HALBERD OF INVISIBILITY AND CLUCKING:  The wielder was invisible, but
compelled to cluck like a chicken.  Silence spells became popular.

The BADGE OF ORC IMPRESSING:  Wear the badge.  Meet some orcs.  They stop,
and say to each other, "Who's he?  I don't know, but he's got a badge.  Must
be important!" and do what you want.  It would only work on a few orcs,
though, because if you tried it on too many, one would always yell, "Hey!
We don't need no stinking badges!!" and then they would jump on you.
