	An <ethnic> construction company responded to the British-
French request for proposals to build the Channel Tunnel connecting
England to France.  During the presentation the <ethnic>
representative said that they would start tunnelling from Dover
eastwards and from Boulogne westward, and meet in the middle.  A
government representative asked what would happen if they failed to
meet in the middle; the <ethnic> replied, "then you will have two
channel tunnels..."
