Not unlike the "god does not exist..." complaint, the MTS
operating system tends to ask for an alternative file when
it couldn't find the one specified.  Therefore a command 
like 
 $run sleep
would respond with:
 "sleep" does not exist - Enter replacement or cancel.

It was a running joke near exam week...

Even worse yet, while looking at a file containing some of the
system error messages, I found a line which later proved to be
part of a longer message. The line read:

the $SIGNON command is a risky practice.
