The Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech is the usual name)
is second only to MIT in the dollar amount of research being done at
schools of technology and engineering across the country.  It
has approximately 10,000 students, 3100 faculty, in essentially all
disciplines of engineering, management, architecture, and even some liberal
studies (e.g. one can get a Ph.D. in Psychology from Georgia Tech).
In other words, Georgia Tech is not just another small school.

What is all this leading up to?  Georgia Tech is located on
North Avenue here in Atlanta.  One of the lesser known
names for it, popular on T-shirts around campus, is

	NORTH AVENUE TRADE SCHOOL


(sorry about the long explanation, but it is sorta needed to appreciate
the name)
