Several years ago I had to go to Dublin on business, and found a
one-stop flight on Aer Lingus from Washington to Shannon and Dublin.
I was the only person on the plane in Washington, and settled down for
a luxurious and comfortable night.  The one stop was in Boston, where
one hundred and eight-nine drunken Irish-Americans roared into the
