The work, which was done at Boston Children's Hospital, combines DECtalk, a Robin (VT180) microcomputer, and a touch-screen display terminal. The child builds sentences by touching words (letters, phrases) on the display screen which are subsequently spoken by DECtalk. (The DECtalk demonstration number is (617) 493-8255.)
