I am a recent subscriber to netnews and have caught only a few followup
articles on the status of the "Soon to be released?"
 Macintosh.  If anybody
has any good information on this machine, pleas respond.

Facts of interest:

   1.  Release date.

   2.  Cost.

   3.  Software packages available.

   4.  Distributors.

   5.  Operating System (esp. UNIX).
