I should think that would be an OS chore. Comment ? Hi Dave, As you must realize, detection of a disk-change is actually a hardware function. The little microswitch on the disk drive door is usually the mechanism. It is, of course, up to the BIOS to pass this along to the OS. Cheers, Tony ;-)
