Does anyone have any comments about whether this is a good starter system? All he wants to do is to do text editing, formatting, and have a spelling checker. He also wants to attach an inexpensive printer (dot matrix?). He is looking to spend around $300-400 total. Can anyone give me suggestions and/or experiences? He is a drama major, so a simple system will do. He is also looking at the Commodore VIC-20 or 64. He has a TV, so if the system wouldn't require a monitor, that'd be a plus. I know there are adaptors for monitor-to-TV, but I've have bad experiences with these. Please reply to me directly, and I'll summarize for the nets if there are others interested. Thanks.
