The most interesting phone number is the one for Yuri Andropov, since the rest are just listed telephone numbers (456-1414 is the standard White House switchboard number, 930-4832 appears as "Buckingham Palace" in the London Phone Book, short numbers ending in 1 or 0 in Germany are usually the operator at PBXs). Maybe the stories about the Moscow phone book being unobtainable are really baloney. Last time I looked for it in the Library of Congress, it had disappeared. And Bruno Kreisky and Menachim Begin aren't all that important any more, are they? (In fact, a correspondent in Vienna checked, and Bruno's number has been disconnected.) But the ad worked. I'll probably check the restaurant out on my next trip to Munich. John Covert ...{ucbvax,allegra,decvax}!decwrl!rhea!castor!covert
