If you try an RF switcher (the passive kind -- no built-in amplifier), be
sure to get return privileges before you buy.  You may not like what it
does to your cable reception.  Mine became noticeably more grainy.  It
was still watchable, but I chose not to put up with it.  The manual
claimed a 3db insertion loss, which theoretically should be acceptable
if you have a strong signal.
