But a strong young blond girl with a sledgehammer flies down the hallowedways, chased by a squad of sturm troopers. She races into the screening room (in slow motion) , whirls around, and sends the sledgehammer into the crt, which explodes(?) into the gapping faces of the bedulled audience. Not the latest Sci-Fi Flick, but an advertisement for the Apple Macintosh. For 60 seconds it certainly grabs your attention. I saw the end of it during the 6:00 news 1/19/84, and a 15 second one later in the show. It's a very glossy add, and might give the cute humor of those Chaplin adds some competition. Of course it is a bit depressing to see our products advertised like cars - and I hate to think how much R&D the commercial money could have bought. stephe sutor
